She Dreams Fundraising for Girls Education | Succulent Party

It was about a month of preparation. Mom and I took trips to find tea cups and other supplies, and Neil and I made sure that our succulents were growing and getting ready for the party. And, as much as possible, I was spreading the news about the fundraiser.

Thanks to your enthusiasm, kindness, and encouragement, we exceeded our fundraising goals!

I felt so lucky to know so many generous people. From ages nine to seventy, with your amazing stories, you were eager to give towards our common goal, education for disadvantaged girls. Many of you gave even if could not make it to the event.

All proceeds are going to support Sakhi School for Girls Education in Mumbai, India. Sakhi is a school in the slums of Mumbai founded and run by Aarti Naik who grew up in a slum. You can read their stories here: http://sakhiforgirlseducation.org

We are also supporting Days for Girls. Days for Girls provides access to menstrual products to girls who cannot afford them. The lack of these products keeps girls out of schools for multiple days a month. Days for Girls can be found here: https://www.daysforgirls.org/
